Higher Education Statistics for United Kingdom 2008/09

  [Prepared and published by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) in consultation with statisticians in BIS and the Devolved Administrations].  
  The latest national statistics on Higher Education Statistics for the United Kingdom 2008/09, produced by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) in collaboration with statisticians from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG), the Scottish Government (SG), and the Department for Employment and Learning Northern Ireland (DELNI), will be released on 23rd September 2010, according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.  
  This publication presents an overview of all aspects of higher education in the UK and contains data for England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the UK. It draws together data on students, staff, institutional finance, applicants via UCAS, graduates and graduate destinations, student support and international comparisons.  
  These latest statistics update the previous edition which was published on 24th September 2009.
