Proportion of Employee Jobs in Selected Industrial Sectors

This data details the proportion of employee jobs in selected industrial sectors by NUTS areas. Data is on a NUTS1 or NUTS2 geographical level, depending on the availability of the data at a lower spatial level.

The sectors which have been analysed are: Aerospace & Defence; Automotive; Chemicals; Construction; Information & Communication; Life Sciences; Metals and Retail & Wholesale.

This data shows the share of jobs that are in each sector and can be used to see the relative importance of sectors to these areas. Data will be of use to Local Government and Local Enterprise Partnerships in particular in understanding the composition of jobs in their local areas.
